Dragon Scales Shawl - Phoenix Rising

This stitch is sometimes called crocodile, sometimes dragon scales.  As an avid player of Dungeons and Dragons, I definitely fall into the latter category.  I was playing around with the stitch and ended up with a pattern for a shawlette, but this particular yarn begged to be made into a larger shawl.

The name of this piece comes from another creature of legend, the phoenix who rises from the ashes.

Yarn - Sultan by Cotton Kings in Fire Opal.

Shawl measures 60" wide by 22" long at the center of the triangle.
